SYS-CON.TV to Switch from Adobe Flash Video to Microsoft Silverlight

One of the first streaming video sites on the internet SYS-CON.TV will switch its streaming technology from Flash Video to Silverlight. The first broadcast using Microsoft's Silverlight technology will be live video from the upcoming AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 West, which will take place September 23-26, 2007, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, in Santa Clara, California.

"We have been evaluating Silverlight and comparing its technical, as well as overall advantages over Flash Video since the first beta of the product was released," said Louis F. Couffari, director of technology for SYS-CON.TV. "We are more confident to make the swicth and convinced to go with a superior Microsoft technology at this time."

SYS-CON events will present the first international iTVCon - Internet Video Conference & Expo, on Novemner 12-13, 2007, in San Francisco, California. iTVCon is rapidly building out its program and the Conference Advisory Board is currently sorting through the hundreds of proposals for technical and strategic sessions that have been coming in. Final deadline for proposals is September 30, 2007, and the submission URL for speaking proposals is here.
