Intelligent Living Integrating State-of-the-Art HAI OMNI Home Automation Systems Creating Smart Homes That Conserve Energy

Multi-Million Dollar Home Showcases the Latest in Energy Efficiency and Green Technologies

VANCOUVER, BC -- (Marketwire) -- 06/08/09 -- Intelligent Living Corp. ("ILVC"), (OTCBB: ILVC), a leading automation and technology solutions provider utilizing green building practices, announced today the completion of their latest smart home project in Vancouver, BC. The 5,000 sq.ft. new construction residence in the highly coveted Shaughnessy area of Vancouver developed by Tavan Construction sold for over C$4 million in three days.

The home is equipped with the state-of-the-art HAI OMNI home automation featuring integrated security, lighting, climate control and whole-house distributed audio systems as well as a high definition (1080p) home theater. The touch-screens located in strategic locations provide complete control of the lighting, smart thermostats, security and whole-house audio system. With built-in network access, the system allows remote programming and status review over the Internet.

The home is equipped with "Smart" lighting switches that are used for controlling and dimming lighting loads just like normal switches but they are also part of the intelligent home system. They are linked to the home security system such that certain lights can come on when motion is detected. As an energy conservation feature, the smart lights come on automatically at reduced dim levels and go off if the security system does not detect any motion for a specified period of time.

Another unique feature of this home is that the HAI smart thermostats used to control the Air Conditioning system also control the independent hot water floor heating system. This economizes on the capital cost and provides linked and adaptive intelligent control over the home's key environmental systems.

In a recent interview with the Vancouver Courier, Troy van Vliet, principal of Tavan Construction, noted that "Every new home should have this technology. The price of installation has dropped so much, and it's user friendly. You can control everything on one pad. Realtors have always known that landscaping helps sell a house. Well, digital installation is just interior landscaping."

"This is the third house we have worked on for Tavan Construction, including Mr. van Vliet's own home," said Murat Erbatur, COO of Intelligent Living Corp. adding, "it is an absolute pleasure to work with Troy who is a visionary and truly understands the benefit of energy efficient, technologically advanced yet easy to use smart home systems that add so much value to the end product as evidenced by the very short period of time, three days to be exact, it took to sell this home at very close to asking price, in this relatively slow real estate market."

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. The constant pressure to provide complete, omnichannel delivery of customer-facing solutions to meet both regulatory and customer demands is putting enormous pressure on...
IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded.
