Benu Networks Appoints New Senior Vice President of Sales

Benu Networks, a leading provider of innovative virtual network solutions that enable service providers to rapidly create and deliver next generation IP services, today announced the appointment of David Scholnick as Senior Vice President of Sales for North America. Scholnick has 25 years of leadership experience in both direct and indirect sales. His depth of industry knowledge coupled with his proven ability to build and manage high-performance sales teams will be key in growing Benu Networks’ customer base within the service provider and cable MSO segments.

Benu Networks’ Virtual Service Edge (VSE) platform is designed to overcome the service activation and fulfillment challenges that service providers face in today’s highly competitive market. The VSE is a software-based platform that is virtualized and distributed to increase deployment flexibility and maximize operational efficiencies and scale. This approach enables service providers to rapidly create service offerings that are integrated into their existing access, core network and OSS/BSS assets at a low upfront investment. Scholnick brings a broad range of experience to his new position at Benu Networks. Prior to joining Benu Networks, he served as the Senior Director of Service Provider Solutions at Juniper Networks, where he solely developed Juniper’s Service Provider Business Program that provided new, incremental revenue for thousands of Juniper’s partners. Previously, Scholnick was Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales at JacobsRimell (acquired by Amdocs), Senior Manager of Global Service Management at Cisco Systems, and Vice President and National Sales Manager at Philips Electronics. He also held senior sales executive roles at Sony and Sharp Electronics.
