'Bid for Better Broadband' Site Launches Today

Telecom Industry's First "Name-Your-Own-Price" for Business Broadband Debuts

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 12/23/13 -- Capaciti Networks, a wholly owned subsidiary of Competitive Companies, Inc. (OTCQB: CCOP) (OTCBB: CCOP) today announced the launch of its redesigned website at www.capacitinetworks.com. The website features the telecom industry's only "name-your-own-price" for business broadband; business customers can choose from a range of broadband plans or tailor fit custom solutions and name the price they would like to pay for the monthly service.

"We're always thinking of innovative ways for businesses and cities themselves to have access to better broadband and our carrier-class service is a ground-breaking way for customers to take control of their communications needs with broadband services that are fast and reliable," said William H. Gray, President and CEO of Capaciti Networks. "With 'Bid for Better Broadband,' businesses are in control because they choose their own plan and name the price they want to pay."

The "Bid for Better Broadband" plan is currently available in Columbus, OH with San Antonio, TX and Atlanta, GA expected to be available by the end of first quarter 2014. Additionally, "Bid for Better Broadband" has definite expansion plans, with the capability of rolling out to more than 500 cities nationwide through its national and international up-line provider.

Capaciti Networks' "Bid for Better Broadband" service is provided by way of a tier 1 carrier-class broadband network, offering 99.9999% uptime and reliability.

"It's one thing to offer carrier-grade broadband to business, but it's a significant market mover to allow businesses to name their own price for premium services," said Chief Technology Officer of Capaciti Networks Bob Merola. "We've even taken it a step further than just allowing businesses control of the plan and price because we're also letting business customers choose optimum installation time so there's little to no disruption to business activities."

The service plans for Capaciti Networks' "Bid for Better Broadband" service includes commercial, dedicated and symmetrical, as well as enterprise or custom plans.

Dave Dwyer, Business Development Manager for Capaciti Networks, originally came up with the idea of allowing businesses to bid their own price. "I realized that business owners wanted and deserved to have control over their broadband needs when it came to speed and price," he said. "Just like going online and bidding on a car or hotel, the premise of bidding is effective, familiar, and it's a perfect way for owners to get unbundled from inefficient and costly service bundles and to gain a finer level of control over their business."

In addition to "Bid for Better Broadband," Capaciti Networks offers high-speed Wi-Fi in high-density commercial markets such as the Central Business District of Columbus, OH. Capaciti's Wi-Fi service is recording speeds in excess of 200 Mbps to a laptop and 100 Mbps to a smart phone. Additional cities including San Antonio, TX and Atlanta, GA will be added to the Capaciti Wi-Fi network in the first quarter of 2014.
