Harris Broadcast Names Pablo Gargiulo President of Global Sales Organization, Appoints Regional Leaders

Harris Broadcast, a global supplier of content management and network infrastructure serving broadcasters, satellite, MSOs, IPTV, mobile TV and OTT providers, today appointed Pablo Gargiulo as President of Global Sales. Mr. Gargiulo will report directly to Charlie Vogt, CEO of Harris Broadcast, and will be responsible for leading a newly created global sales organization, which spans 140 countries and 3,000 customers. Organized into four customer-facing regions – North America, Central/Latin America (CALA), Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and South Asia/North Asia (Asia) – the new organization will offer customers more comprehensive and deep sales leadership and operations for each region and support the company’s go-to-market strategies of its four product family pillars of Media, Networking, Playout and Transmission.

Subsequently, the company has named the following Harris Broadcast Sales Executives to lead the four regions:

  • North America: Chris Ziemer
  • CALA: Nahuel Villegas
  • EMEA: Mathias Eckert
  • Asia: Joe Khodier and JiShun Mei

“Pablo is a tested and proven leader who has supported dynamic industry transformation in parallel industries and brings unique capabilities in empowering and integrating global sales forces acquired through multiple acquisitions,” said Mr. Vogt. “With our customers facing major industry and technology transitions, Pablo will improve customer intimacy across our global regions and accelerate development of growth opportunities in each. He is singularly committed to fueling our customers’ profitability while helping them navigate the disruptive opportunities and challenges associated with ongoing transformations, whether that be the impact of on-demand or the digital transition to video and audio over IP.”

Mr. Gargiulo has a rich background of international sales and organizational leadership, having led global sales organizations, supply chain, customer support, professional services and marketing over the past 25 years across the telecom, MSO and technology sectors. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Xtera Communications, Inc., a global optical transport company. From 2007 to 2012, Mr. Gargiulo held several strategic roles at GENBAND, including President of Global Sales and Executive Vice President of Operations. He joined GENBAND from Tekelec, where he was Vice President of Customer Operations. Prior to Tekelec, he held leadership positions with Taqua, KTI and Kao Infosystems.

“Harris Broadcast is embarking on a very unique chapter both for the company and the industry it serves,” said Mr. Gargiulo. “Empowered by a new, independent ownership structure and the visionary leadership of Charlie Vogt, I am thrilled to join the company, team with Charlie again and support an outstanding management team and global sales organization in serving an unrivaled customer base. The regional design of our sales team uniquely positions Harris Broadcast globally for high touch-points with customers, enabling us to rapidly address their transformation needs and improve speed to market for the company’s ground breaking technologies.”

Mr. Gargiulo graduated summa cum laude in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with research in high-voltage digital control systems from the National University of San Juan (Universidad Nacional de San Juan – UNSJ) in Argentina.
