MARIETTA, GA and OTTAWA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/20/13 -- Optical networking specialist Optelian today announces a distribution partnership with Goldfield Telecom, a leading distributor of telecom equipment in the U.S. The partnership provides Optelian with another key outlet for the distribution of its optical networking solutions throughout the United States. The Goldfield partnership will focus on targeting and distributing to Independent Operating Companies (IOCs) operating in Tier 3 markets.
"The Goldfield partnership is a strong and positive aspect of our sales distribution strategy," comments Dave Mills, Vice President of Sales, Service and Marketing at Optelian. "As our products evolve to meet the highest customer demand, so too should our distribution and our commitment to making the Optelian portfolio highly available across the country. This alliance with Goldfield Telecom is another key building block toward reaching a customer base demanding the fastest and most reliable networking products."
Optelian recently launched the MPX-9110 flexible 100G platform. As the industry's most compact and efficient 100 Gb/s solution, the MPX-9110 provides comprehensive service-delivery capabilities in a standalone 1RU form factor. The distribution partnership with Goldfield allows the company to expand its distribution and target strategic Tier 3 regions and IOCs with this new service and others.
"Optelian's product suite is best-in-class," comments Darrell Seaba at Goldfield Telecom. "The company continues to impress with its optical solutions and high-quality North American manufacturing strategy. Customers appreciate solutions that are designed and manufactured close to home, which Optelian delivers. This partnership is a valuable one for Goldfield Telecom. We're delighted to include Optelian as one of our premier vendors."
