PALO ALTO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/14/13 -- Today, mSpot Inc. announced the opening of its new office space at 435 Portage Avenue in Palo Alto, built as an expansion of its existing office space. The new office space will enable the global expansion of Samsung music services, including Music Hub -- the all-in-one music service that is currently available for Samsung smart mobile devices.
"When we acquired mSpot, it was predominately for the people and their expertise in mobile technology, music licensing and content," stated TJ Kang, Senior Vice President of Media Solution Center, Samsung Electronics. "We're thrilled that the home of our world-class music service is in the heart of Silicon Valley, along with a highly-talented and innovative team."
"This expansion shows Samsung's commitment to our vision, creativity and independence, as we move towards the global offering of Samsung Music Hub," said Daren Tsui, CEO of mSpot, Inc.
mSpot Inc. is the developer of Music Hub -- the first all-in-one mobile music service that includes a streaming catalog, cloud music storage, radio and a music store. Samsung Music Hub service is now available in the U.S. and EU countries like UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, on select Samsung smart mobile devices and the service will be expanded in 2Q of 2013.
mSpot Inc. became a wholly owned, independently operated subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, in May of 2012.
