Twisted Pair Solutions, a recognized leader in critical communication solutions for secure, real-time communication anywhere, on any device, today announced that its WAVE software will form the core of Real Time Connect, a new critical communications cloud solution being offered by UK-based Affini, who currently provides network services to 17 including London Heathrow.
Developed to provide a unified critical communications platform that enables seamless interoperability between radios, smartphones, tablets and desktop PCs, Real Time Connect is the first in a roadmap of cloud based critical communications interoperability solutions to support Affini’s project, professional and managed services capability that delivers business critical voice and data applications. Affini is developing other vertical application services, notably in key Transportation Hubs and Stadium Complexes covering key entertainment and sporting events, where Real Time Connect can provide instant communication services for event organizers, teams and visiting groups that wish to use the devices and networks that they may already own and use enhancing security, operational efficiency, and commercial opportunities.
According to Ryan Buma, vice president of sales & marketing at Twisted Pair, the Affini Real Time Connect critical communications cloud service provides customers the ability to gain all the benefits of real-time, secure voice communications capabilities without having to deploy a complete hardware and software solution on-customer premise, saving customers significant time and money.
“With Real Time Connect mobile radio users and dispatchers can communicate in real-time with users on smartphones, tablets, and personal computers securely over any IP based network. We are very pleased that Affini chose our WAVE Managed Services platform as the core of Real Time Connect and we look forward to jointly providing great communications services to our customers,” said Buma.
Affini, a Team Telecom Group company, specialises in the planning, deployment and management of critical communications networks for large complex environments and manages network services at many of the UK’s largest airports. The company also has an extensive track record in the telecoms, transport, automotive, broadcast and financial sectors.
“As organisations enhance their push-to-talk radio systems they recognise the need for mobile radio to be able to cross-communicate with other devices within their workgroup, regardless of location, be they desk phones, PC applications or cellular 3G, 4G or LTE. Affini Real Time Connect creates a common environment to mix best of breed technology platforms and devices from different vendors,” said Affini managing director Jason Colombo.
“This move puts us in a strong position in the unified critical communications market and further underlines our capabilities in providing solutions and services for complex environments which require the integration of different technologies and extended service.”
