LONDON, March 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Big Data Republic (www.bigdatarepublic.com) has announced the launch of the #bigdata100 – a campaign to find the most influential tweeters on big data.
The #bigdata100 aims to find the most influential, whimsical, and useful tweeters covering the big data conversation, with nominations being driven by the community.
Site Editor Saul Sherry explains:
"When I talk to the end users and C-level staff who are leveraging big data, they all say one of their toughest jobs is keeping up with the pace of development in technologies and techniques. Twitter is a great source for keeping abreast of the latest news, but there's a lot of clutter out there. The #bigdata100 will give data teams, IT departments, and marketers the chance to cut through the noise and find real and usable information."
Nominations can be submitted by using the tweet:
I nominate @twitterhandle for the #bigdata100 most influential big data Twitter accounts http://bit.ly/10QUXoo.
The #bigdata100 will first measure Twitter influence using a live PeerIndex table found on Big Data Republic (http://bit.ly/10QUXoo). An editorial panel will then vote for the essential 20 big data tweeters that practitioners cannot afford not to follow.
Nominations will close on 15 April 2013.
