- To supply China Unicom with IT infrastructure equipment and installation services in 11 provinces in China
- The project is estimated to generate revenue of approximately RMB20 million
Singapore, Mar 14, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - SGX Mainboard-listed Ace Achieve Infocom Limited ("Ace Achieve" or the "Group"), one of China's leading provider and innovator of telecommunication solutions and products, is pleased to announce that the Group has secured a repeat contract from China Unicom Limited ("China Unicom") to supply IT infrastructure and related installation services for the third consecutive year.
Based on the terms of the agreement, Ace Achieve will supply and install new server infrastructure in China Unicom's facilities in 11 provinces in China, which is part of China Unicom's annual IT infrastructure upgrading plan. Scheduled to be completed within 9 months, the project is divided into various phases, with the first phase amounting to RMB5.0 million.
Mr Deng Zelin, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ace Achieve, said, "The consecutive contract win from China Unicom further reaffirms the Group's advanced technology and expertise in supporting leading telecommunication operators in China.
As China's mobile subscribers continue to grow - reaching 1.12 billion in January 2013(1), telecommunication operators are constantly upgrading their IT infrastructure to support customers expanding needs.
At the same time, with increased 3G penetration rate and the shift towards non-voice and data based revenue, operators are placing greater focus on adopting new technology and equipment to enhance network performance and thereby improving service quality level.
Strong after-sale service is an integral part of our IT solutions and we will continue to emphasize it as our key differentiator in establishing long-term and strong relationship with our customers.
Progressively, we are taking steps to enhance our value proposition in IT infrastructure solutions. As part of our long-term growth initiatives, the Group plans to offer new IT solutions based on cloud computing technology to our customers."
Barring unforeseen circumstances, this contract is expected to generate RMB20 million in revenue to the Group, spanning across the financial year ending 30 April 2013 ("FY2013") and 30 April 2014 ("FY2014").
The earlier contracts that were secured in 2011 and 2012 contributed more than RMB30 million in revenue.
