NetCracker Technology announced today that KDDI Corporation has selected NEC–NetCracker to deploy its asset and resource optimization solution to increase design/build operational efficiency and increase service quality to maximize end-user customer satisfaction.
KDDI is a leading telecommunications operator providing converged broadband services to residential and commercial customers in Japan.
Leveraging NetCracker’s TOMS (Telecom Operations and Management Solutions) Suite, KDDI will automate business processes for design and build and will consolidate its resource inventory data by:
- Establishing an integrated database for physical layer resources for fixed line communications. This will enable KDDI to optimize workforce activities for design, build, and operation and improve the quality of resource data information.
- Integrating with resource information in the logical layer. This will give KDDI greater insight into, and control over, network resource usage for the logical and physical layers.
- Correlating resource inventory and information with data in KDDI’s asset accounting system. This will enable KDDI to improve its business for asset accounting information management.
KDDI will use a range of innovative NetCracker capabilities for resource inventory, design & planning, and discovery & reconciliation. The solution will ensure tight alignment between the physical and logical layers of the network, while optimizing network deployment and operations.
“KDDI has an opportunity to leverage the combined strength of NEC–NetCracker for this strategic transformational project,” said Mr. Satya Parakala, NetCracker Vice President APAC. “We look forward to working closely with KDDI to deploy this innovative solution that will enable KDDI to more efficiently and cost effectively manage its infrastructure.”
