FRAMINGHAM, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/05/13 -- Correlsense, a leading IT monitoring software company, introduced Real User Monitoring (RUM) for Native Mobile Applications today. RUM for Native Mobile Applications is the first mobile RUM solution that paints a comprehensive picture of the mobile end-user experience. It was designed for IT operations, production support and business professionals who need to set and maintain mobile application performance and service levels. It also performs end-to-end monitoring and troubleshooting of performance issues, whether they are application-, network- or end-user device-related.
"At present, the APM issue that is causing Global 2000 users the most pain is the difficulty of capturing end-user experience and end-to-end latency data when applications are being accessed from mobile platforms," according to a recent report authored by Will Cappelli, Research VP at Gartner Research. "Smartphones and tablets are less than completely transparent to standard APM technologies and the blind spots only multiply when Ajax and HTML5 are thrown into the mix." *
Real User Monitoring for Native Mobile Applications is available immediately, supports both iOS and Android, and seamlessly integrates with SharePath, Correlsense's end-to-end application performance management solution. RUM for Native Mobile Applications extends the already wide-reaching visibility of SharePath deep into the mobile experience, giving IT operations, application support and business stakeholders a complete picture of user experience from the user's device into the data center. This new capability does not require device-level instrumentation, and can be easily incorporated into the native mobile applications.
"Businesses are building mobile applications for a reason. They want their customers to have a great experience and consume their service anywhere, anytime," said Correlsense Vice President of Products Nir Livni. "Understanding the true end-user experience for native mobile apps is a must-have so they can dramatically improve customer loyalty and retention. SharePath helps businesses make the most of their investment going mobile, by making sure they have a complete understanding of user experience, including what users do, as well as when and where they do it."
Beyond real-time user experience, SharePath for Native Mobile Applications provides trending, reporting and alerting mechanisms, as well as detailed information as for what users are doing, when, and from which location. And it presents the findings in a single view that shows exactly how much time was spent at every step in the delivery process.
