iNTERFACEWARE™, a software provider committed to simplifying healthcare integration, today announced it has partnered with Seamless Medical Systems to deliver mobile patient engagement solutions for the iPad. Seamless Medical’s cloud-based, enterprise platform called SNAP® Practice engages a patient or family member when they first enter the provider’s office, starting with registration in the waiting room, delivering health and wellness information, and extending to exam room time with the provider. Through iNTERFACEWARE's IGUANA, patient data from SNAP Practice can be seamlessly transferred to patients’ electronic medical records or an organization’s practice management system.
SNAP Practice is available in two models, SNAP EXPRESS and SNAP ENTERPRISE. The iPad-based platform includes a standard form set to serve primary care, internal medicine, dermatology, urgent care and oncology. SNAP Practice is HIPAA-compliant and features digital signage capture, pre-populating and auto-formatting data field logic and structured data output to practice systems. With SNAPedu, patients can also access customized health education from Mayo Clinic.
Traditional paper-based patient registration forms are time consuming for patients to complete and expensive for healthcare offices to organize and manage. Additionally, during the transcription process, incorrect data can sometimes be inserted into a patient’s file. With information that can be seamlessly integrated into a patient’s file, healthcare organizations do not have to re-enter information, saving valuable time and eliminating the possibility of errors.
“Our goal is to enhance the patient’s overall experience while helping healthcare organizations increase savings and streamline overall workflows,” said David Perez, founder and CEO, Seamless Medical Systems. “iNTERFACEWARE's technology plays a critical role in ensuring that we can share information among diverse healthcare IT systems in an efficient and timely manner.”
Using IGUANA, organizations can transfer electronic information without replacing existing technologies or redesigning their existing systems. It also connects legacy healthcare systems and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, enabling organizations to develop, test, deploy and monitor healthcare interfaces with a single web-based interface.
“The increased adoption of mobile devices and cloud-based technology in healthcare underscores the importance of being able to connect systems, regardless of the form or location,” said Eliot Muir, CEO, iNTERFACEWARE. “Solutions like SNAP Practice are on the forefront of medical care, providing new and exciting ways to help inform and engage patients.”
