BOSTON, Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ATLANTIC-ACM announced today the winners of its Customer Choice Awards, which were delivered by ATLANTIC-ACM president Fedor Smith today at Metro Connect USA 2013 in Miami, Fla. The awards are based on surveys for ATLANTIC-ACM's 2012 Metro Carrier Report Card, which included more than 1,600 individual ratings of carriers by their wholesale customers. To be nominated for an award, a carrier had to have been rated among the top four performing carriers in three key verticals - wireline, wireless and emerging customers. Global Capacity sponsored the awards luncheon.
Nominees and winners were as follows:
Customer Choice Awards for Operational Excellence
Serving Wireline Customers
Fibertech, Level 3, tw telecom and Zayo were nominated for operational excellence, a measurement of customer satisfaction in brand, sales representatives, provisioning, network performance, billing and customer service, as rated by their wireline customers.
Winner: Fibertech
Serving Wireless Customers
Cox, Level 3, Verizon and Zayo were nominated for operational excellence in servicing wireless customers, a measurement of customer satisfaction in brand, sales representatives, provisioning, network performance, billing and customer service, as rated by their wireless customers.
Winner: Cox
Serving Emerging Customers
Level 3, Verizon, XO and Zayo were nominated for operational excellence a measurement of customer satisfaction in brand, sales representatives, provisioning, network performance, billing and customer service as rated by their customers in emerging customer verticals, including content, cable, ISP and systems integrators.
Winner: Zayo
Customer Choice Awards for Metro Data Services
Serving Wireline Customers
Fibertech, Level 3, Sidera and XO were nominated for metro data services excellence, a measurement of customer satisfaction with the quality and price competitiveness of data products purchased by wireline customers.
Winner: Fibertech
Serving Wireless Customers
CenturyLink, Cox, Level 3 and Verizon were nominated for metro data services excellence, a measurement of customer satisfaction in with the quality and price competitiveness of data products purchased by wireless customers.
Winner: Verizon
Serving Emerging Customers
CenturyLink, Level 3 XO and Zayo were nominated for metro data services excellence in servicing emerging customers, a measurement of customer satisfaction with the quality and price competitiveness of data products purchased by customers in emerging customer verticals, including content, cable, ISP and systems integrators.
Winner: XO
Customer Choice Awards for Overall Metro Carrier Excellence
Midsized and Under Carriers
Cox, Fibertech, FPL FiberNet and Sidera were nominated for best overall carrier performance among midsized and under carriers.
Winner: Fibertech
Large Carriers
AT&T, CenturyLink, Level 3 and Verizon were nominated for best overall carrier performance among large carriers.
Winner: Level 3
