Cloud security leader Total Defense, Inc. today announced that as part of its continued focus on growth and expanding market opportunities in cloud security, the company has appointed John Cassidy as Vice President, EMEA Sales, and Jon Botter as Vice President, North America Sales.
John Cassidy joins the Total Defense team as an accomplished sales executive, bringing over 15 years experience in European IT sales leadership. Most recently Cassidy was part of Dell’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) team for the UK and Ireland, responsible for over $500 million in revenue. Prior to Dell UK, he drove the development of industry-leading field and inside sales teams at 3Com and British Telecom.
“Malware attacks are at an all time high,” said Cassidy. “The legacy approaches to security just can’t keep up, so I am very excited to be joining a team that is delivering a fundamentally new and improved approach to security.”
Jon Botter brings strong expertise in taking rapid-growth companies to the next level, developing corporate partnerships and innovative sales operations. Botter joins Total Defense from FatWire Software where he successfully built a global alliance and partner business from the ground up and played an integral role in the acquisition of FatWire by Oracle. He has over 20 years experience in the technology sector, having previously served in senior executive roles at eGain Corp, RightNow Technologies, Quest Software and CA Technologies, where he achieved record breaking sales results and delivered the largest transaction in the company’s history.
“Cloud security is fast becoming a fundamental necessity for organizations of all sizes,” said Botter. “Total Defense is the first and only security company to leverage the power of the cloud to deliver a truly unified content and endpoint security solution. The company has done an excellent job executing on this vision, and I believe is poised for a breakout year in 2013.”
“Total Defense has changed the security game with our release of the industry’s first complete cloud security solution,” said Chris Hickey, president, Total Defense. “John and Jon are sales executives with proven ability to build world class teams and deliver exceptional market share growth. I am delighted to welcome leaders with their proven track record to the Total Defense team.”
