OTTAWA, Ontario, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Dawnsuite Communications Inc. is proud to announce the release of the first on-line event binder based on the Convention Industry Council (CIC) Accepted Practices Exchange (APEX) Standard.

The online event binder was developed in consultation with meeting planners to fill a long-standing void in the event planning industry. It is designed to allow event planners and other hospitality industry stakeholders to communicate and share information more conveniently through the online access of event logistics information stored in the Cloud.
"Dawnsuite has worked over the past three years developing several new web services for the hospitality industry," said Eric R. Dormer, President & CEO of Dawnsuite, an Ottawa, Ontario, based web services provider. "We are happy to be making the first of these services, EventDawn, available today."
EventDawn is a web-based application, available via any standard web browser. Meeting planners can now store all their event data in one location on-line, including contracts, contacts and floor plans. Using a laptop or tablet, planners can then access their documents anywhere, such as from a trade show floor. If they need to find the latest version of a document, planners can access their files online and even print directly from their browser if a hard copy is required.
Lawrence Leonard, COO of the CIC, said, "CIC is glad to see Dawnsuite adopting the APEX Event Specification Guide standard for their EventDawn product. EventDawn's use of this APEX standard should give planners and suppliers confidence that the product will gather all the information critical to planning and executing successful events, regardless of size or complexity. Based on what I've seen, EventDawn offers a powerful and user-friendly way of collecting and managing logistics that many planners will find compelling."
Louis Buschman, VP Marketing, explained, "We built EventDawn based on the APEX Standard so we could capture as much information as possible for meeting planners. We will also be able to interface with other databases. When we release new services over the coming year, planners will be able to maximize their benefits from other software they may be using such as on-line registration, event marketing, and attendee management services."
