StreamWIDE (Paris:ALSTW) (FR0010528059 – ALSTW), the specialist in next generation value-added solutions for telecom operators announces the launch of SmartMS™ Technology, a new Mobile Messaging standard enabling worldwide Mobile Operators to actively defend their positions against Over-the-Top players and prepare for the evolution of SMS/MMS towards IP-based messaging.
SmartMS™ solution incorporates a carrier-grade SIP Application Server, a suite of white-label Mobile Messaging Applications for smartphones and Clearing House services to ensure interoperability between operators. SmartMS™ offers a transparent and unified experience of both legacy and IP-based mobile messaging including multimedia file transfers, map location sharing, push-to-talk service and a sophisticated SMS fallback mechanism which guarantees 100% message delivery.
SmartMS™ technology delivers a cost-efficient and swiftly deployable alternative to RCS-e for Mobile Operators seeking to deploy Next Generation Mobile Messaging Solution, without the requirement of hefty capital investment in a full IMS network and RCS-compliant equipment. Mobile subscribers will benefit from a similar feature set with an equal level of security and reliability as the RCS-e gateway ensures compatibility between respective systems.
“By bridging the best of both Operators and OTT worlds, SmartMS™ technology preserves SMSC investments, helps Mobile Service Providers address the erosion of SMS market and provides them immediately with a key differentiating service that will easily integrate into any future RCS-e infrastructure.” commented Pascal Beglin, StreamWIDE CEO.
The solution will be demonstrated in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress event (25-28 of February 2013) at StreamWIDE booth, Hall 5 Stand 5G95, at The CCA Global Expo in New Orleans in April and at The CTIA Las Vegas in May 2013.
More information on the solution including a White Paper addressing operators’ mobile messaging strategies can be found on http://www.smartms.com.
