IXcellerate, Moscow premier carrier neutral data centre and a member of IDC-G (International Data Centre Group), announces today that MASTERTEL has established a PoP in IXcellerate’s Moscow One Data Centre and constructed 264 fibres into IXcellerate’s premises. Clients can now benefit from Mastertel’s extensive fibre network across Moscow and St. Petersburg.
IXcellerate began operations of Phase One, in December 2012, on their 15,000m² datacenter campus in North Moscow. Additional Phases will be constructed over the coming years, culminating with over 5,000m² of space for IT equipment. Demand for carrier neutral data centres that are built and operated to Western European standards, is growing in Moscow. Having multiple carriers operating in one environment provides customers with redundancy and the flexibility to choose which provider they use.
Aleksandr Surjik, Head of chain development department in MASTERTEL, comments on our partnership, “The new Data Centre will be advertised and recommended to our customers. Mastertel’s presence in almost all the commercial data centers in Moscow, and high connectivity of our network allows your and our clients to reallocate resources flexibly between data centers with minimal losses. The fact that we are leading a 264-fiber cable to you says about our intentions for long-term relationship.”
“As one of the largest fibre providers in Moscow and its surrounding area, Mastertel’s presence in IXcellerate’s data centre will provide our clients with an additional option for connectivity. This announcement is one more step towards making IXcellerate the most well-connected data centre in Moscow,” said Guy Willner, CEO of IXcellerate.
