BRANFORD, CT -- (Marketwire) -- 02/11/13 -- Westbrook Technologies, developer of Fortis and FortisBlue enterprise content management (ECM) software, today announced that Peter Ransome has been named Vice President of Sales and Marketing. For more than 25 years, Ransome has been known for innovation in the information management industry. He will be responsible for leading Westbrook's sales and marketing teams, continuing to develop relationships with the company's technology and channel partners, and strengthening its industry position.
"Peter's sales and marketing acumen and his extensive knowledge of information management, workflow software and business re-engineering will be a tremendous asset to our company, our customers, and our channel partners," said Einar Haukeland, CEO and president of Westbrook Technologies. "Peter will help drive our targeted sales programs and develop partnerships to support our solutions, while playing an instrumental role in achieving our business goals."
Before joining Westbrook Technologies, Ransome served as vice president of Healthcare, Channels, and Marketing at Diversified Information Technologies, as well as VP Government, Associations and Emerging Markets. He co-founded and was CMO of Active Data Services, a business processing outsourcing firm. Earlier, he served as president of the e-business division at Lason, where he was responsible for product development and channel strategy.
"I am excited to join Westbrook Technologies and be part of such a dynamic, long-standing, and well-respected company," said Ransome. "The document management industry has changed dramatically in just the past three years as businesses in all sectors must adapt to a series of key challenges: assuring compliance, mining big data, moving information and processes to the cloud, and managing distributed workforces that increasingly rely on mobile technology. These are all forcing changes in the way organizations capture, manage, use, share and distribute information. I'm looking forward to helping companies meet these challenges, while reducing costs and improving efficiencies with Westbrook Technologies' next generation of easy-to-deploy and integrated solutions."
