SPRINGFIELD, Missouri, February 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
NorthStar Ultra High Performance Batteries proved to be the best of the best after outperforming the competition through two brutal 'torture tests'.
The 'Winch' and 'Boombox' tests were conducted by JP Magazine for their March 2013 issue, using Group 34 size batteries from all of the top manufacturers.
In the 'Winch' test, the NorthStar G34M Battery pulled a jeep weighing 6,500 lbsa distance of 471 ft. That's almost 100 ft further than the closest competitor battery, made by Odyssey, which could only manage 382 ft. The Die Hard Platinum managed 352 ft and the Optima Yellow 307 ft.
In the 'Boombox' test, the NorthStar Battery had enough power to run a custom-made 40 amp sound and lighting system for an impressive 95 minutes. Again, the Odyssey could only last for 92 min, the Optima 84 min and the Die Hard Platinum 81 min.
So if you need to winch yourself out of trouble or run a killer sound system, then NorthStar is clearly the best choice.
NorthStar's state-of-the-art battery plant in Missouri, USA, uses the latest automated manufacturing to produce pure lead positive grid plates. These plates can be made thinner, which means more can be added into each battery to generate greater surface area, increasing power density. The plates are inserted under high compression, which also improves performance characteristics, virtually eliminating life-limiting failures in high vibration applications. This is why NorthStar batteries can deliver exceptional CCA ratings and reserve capacity cycling ability, with a longer lifetime and virtually no internal grid growth.
Don't settle for anything less - if you need the best, you need a NorthStar Ultra High Performance Battery.
Established in 2000, NorthStar designs and manufactures premium lead-acid batteries and energy-saving battery cabinets. NorthStar products are specifically developed for Telecom Power Systems, Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Engine Start applications - to provide longer battery life and a reduced environmental impact. The company has state-of-the-art facilities in the USA, Sweden, China and India, and their products are used in 120 countries worldwide.
