WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/31/13 -- Snipp Interactive Inc. (www.snipp.com), an international provider of mobile marketing solutions listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE:SPN), and Earth Innovations Inc., (www.EarthInnovations.ca), the manufacturer of EcoTraction, an award-winning eco-friendly alternative to toxic road salt, today announced the adoption of Snipp's Response & Infrastructure Solutions for all of its product packaging sold through retail outlets in North America.
Mark Watson, CEO of Earth Innovations said, "Like EcoTraction, our customers are unique and concerned about the damage caused by toxic road salt. With Snipp Response, we can better understand our customers and grow our business accordingly."
The current program leverages the EcoTraction product packaging to call attention to its mobile resources. The initiative places targeted messaging, product information, and other winter tips in a mobile friendly website that customers in-store can access via their mobile phones using text messaging and/or scanning a QR code.
The two companies plan on working together to extend this solution to allow Earth Innovations to capture customer information in order to build an integrated marketing database which the company can use for future targeted marketing programs, such as the ability to incorporate Snipp's Infrastructure solution to provide targeted local weather alerts and proximity based coupon solutions. The company also plans on working with Snipp to create a loyalty offering.
Atul Sabharwal, CEO of Snipp noted, "It is very rewarding to work with Earth Innovations, which is a company aggressively exploring how mobile technology can enhance and transform traditional off-line marketing and underutilized channels such as product packaging. The ability to build an integrated database to capture customer information and then target market to them opens up numerous opportunities to improve the ROI for a brands marketing spend."
