La GSMA nombra asesor sénior al que fuera presidente de China Mobile, el Dr. Wang Jianzhou

BEIJING, 23 de enero de 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- La GSMA anunció que ha nombrado al Dr. Wang Jianzhou (ex presidente ejecutivo de China Mobile) asesor sénior de la organización. En este cargo, el Dr. Wang colaborará estrechamente con el presidente de la GSMA, Franco Bernabé, y con la junta de la GSMA, con vistas a descubrir nuevas oportunidades en el sector móvil y a promover iniciativas clave para el mismo.

El Dr. Wang ocupó distintos cargos ejecutivos en China Mobile entre 2004 y 2012, y más recientemente ha ejercido como presidente ejecutivo de la empresa. Antes de este periodo en China Mobile, el Dr. Wang pasó cuatro años en China Unicom, en los cargos de presidente y director general. Antes de incorporarse a China Unicom, el Dr. Wang ocupó diversos cargos públicos, como el de director general del Departamento de Planificación general del Ministerio de Industria de la información. Ingeniero superior de nivel de profesor con amplios conocimientos y con más de 30 años de experiencia en el sector de las telecomunicaciones, el Dr. Wang está considerado, de forma generalizada, como un visionario, y sus logros gozan de reconocimiento a nivel mundial. El Dr. Wang fue galardonado con el Premio de Presidencia 2011 de la GSMA, y también recibió en 2010 el Premio mundial de las Telecomunicaciones y la sociedad de la información, la UIT.
