LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - January 18, 2013) - MediSwipe Inc. (www.MediSwipe.com) (OTCQB: MWIP), a patient security solutions and financial products company for the health care industry, today announced an exclusive agreement with Payteller LLC (www.mypayteller.com), a leading provider of bill payment and customized kiosks based in South Florida. The exclusive agreement outlines terms in which both companies will work under a strategic alliance to manufacture, distribute and maintain the financial network for the branded "MediPay" kiosks designed specifically to address the alternative cash payment needs of the medical dispensary sector for states including but not limited to California, Michigan, Arizona, New Jersey and others. The proprietary payment kiosks designed to prevent fraudulent transactions and cut down on employee and potential theft will provide functionality including: patient identification, cash in/coupon out, loyalty/debit card issuance, and bill pay for retail locations.
"Since the elimination of legitimate credit card processing for this industry since July of 2012, there has been a great need to provide a payment solution for both merchants and patients other than ATMs or cash transactions that will allow patients to use other forms of payment, have receipts to present to insurance companies as well as begin to set up a proper infrastructure for the states to receive revenue from these operations. We believe that through our partnership with Payteller, MediSwipe has found the perfect solution," stated B. Michael Freidman, CEO of MediSwipe Inc.
"MediSwipe has positioned itself as an innovator within this sector, and with their seasoned management team combined with their experience in the merchant processing industry, we believe them to be the ideal partner for Payteller on this business venture. We expect to be delivering the first MediPay kiosks to dispensary clients as early as April," stated Jeff Foster, CEO for Payteller LLC.
