Today at the NRF (National Retail Federation) 102nd Annual Convention & EXPO, Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added Point of Service (POS) solutions, and Proximiant, a leader in Touch&Go mobile receipts and CRM, announced the availability of its digital receipt platform on Epson’s OmniLink™ smart POS solutions family. OmniLink combines an Epson industry-leading POS printer with PC functionality to deliver cloud-based services, open platform mobility and flexible web-based printing from any mobile device. Paired with Epson’s OmniLink, Proximiant allows retailers to instantly deliver digital receipts with dynamic, customer-friendly content, while gaining insight into valuable shopper behaviors – quickly and easily, without upgrades to existing POS systems.
Epson’s OmniLink solutions provide the data gateway that enables delivery of cloud-based services via Ethernet or WiFi connectivity. Since the Proximiant application resides on the OmniLink printer outside the POS system, retailers gain the benefits of rapid deployment with no need for POS integration. Proximiant provides a way for retailers to deliver dynamic digital receipts directly to customers’ mobile phones, creating a more engaging shopper experience while providing retailers with valuable shopper behavior analytics to enhance and improve promotional content.
“Retailers are looking for ways to take advantage of skyrocketing smartphone usage,” commented Gregg Brunnick, Director of Marketing for Epson’s Business Systems Division. “The OmniLink solution with Proximiant allows retailers to capitalize on transactional data to create engaging digital receipts, with more targeted, personalized and dynamic messages.”
“With OmniLink, retailers can utilize mobile technology to greatly enhance the customer experience without a significant overhead investment,” commented Fang Cheng, CEO at Proximiant. “OmniLink takes us to the next level and allows us to connect with any-sized retailer, quickly and seamlessly.”
With the Proximiant solution, retailers can deliver secure digital receipts via mobile phones, without requiring customer e-mail or phone numbers. Retailers can also add videos, mobile ads, coupons and more onto mobile receipts, and even host mobile loyalty programs or link existing programs to the mobile platform. Proximiant allows retailers to target campaigns based on shopper behavior, recent purchases or geographic location, and shoppers can be incentivized to share content via social networks. Retailers have access to real-time customer data to target the right message to the right shopper at the right time.
Availability
The Proximiant solution with OmniLink will be available in the first quarter of 2013 directly through Proximiant. To watch Epson’s NRF 2013 video, please click here. For more information about the Epson OmniLink, please visit pos.epson.com/OmniLink.
