Telesur, a full telecommunications service provider for the South American nation of Suriname, announced that it will expand its existing offerings by executing a partnership with Net2Phone to act as its hosted provider of broadband phone service. Under the agreement, Net2Phone will act as its hosted provider of broadband phone service to their subscribers in Suriname under the brand name Telesur Internet Calling.
“Net2Phone’s low-cost solutions and international presence will allow Telesur to remain the leader of the communication development of Suriname” said Frans Eersteling, Marketing Manager of Telesur. “With the launch of Telesur Internet Calling, our customers can now access a low cost, high-quality phone service with the versatile features and functionality that VoIP offers.”
“At Net2Phone, we are increasingly seeing local operators use VoIP to grow revenue and offer new services,” said Jonah Fink, Senior Vice President of Net2Phone. “Telesur’s rollout of broadband telephony with Net2Phone showcases our value as a provider who can accelerate operators’ time to market with robust solutions and validates Net2Phone as a global leader in the broadband telephony space,” said Assaf Cohen, Net2Phone International Sales Manager.
Telesur’s service will offer unique pricing plans including unlimited calling to Netherlands, Brazil, China, USA and Canada. Customers will be able to choose a virtual phone number from any of those countries. Calling plans will also include features such as call waiting, caller ID, call forwarding, and voicemail with new web-based account management tools at no additional charge.
