Navmii is proud to announce compatibility of its navigation app, Navfree, with Pioneer’s line of AppRadio™ in-dash receivers featuring AppRadio™ Mode. The latest version of the popular free GPS navigation app will be part of the app demonstrations in Pioneer’s booth at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and will be part of a select group of apps that capture the innovative spirit of Pioneer’s AppRadio™ platform.
Now with Integrated Google Streetview, live parking information, dynamic traffic overlays and Cyclops Safety Camera information – all accessible via touchscreen on AppRadio™ Mode products – Navfree is deservedly considered one of the best free mobile GPS apps available, with 11.8 million users as of January 2013.
Commenting on the value of Navfree, Pioneer’s Ronan McDonagh - General Manager, Technology, Planning, Car Electronics Division, Pioneer Europe said: “Navfree's hybrid solution of embedded and cloud-based navigation is a unique and highly valued part of the Pioneer AppRadio compatible app line-up.”
Making Navfree highly compatible with Pioneer products signifies a new direction for parent company Navmii, who will continue to offer great value to its ever-growing user base, while pushing the boundaries of automotive mobile products in 2013 and beyond.
Overseeing Navmii’s automotive division is sales and marketing heavyweight Breandan Mac Ferran – former Sales Director Europe, Middle East and Asia for the world’s leading computer input device manufacturer, Logitech, where sales grew from 16 million to 600 million during his 14 years there.
Commenting on his role at Navfree, Mac Ferran said: “Navmii revolutionises the consumer’s driving experience by taking mobile technology even further into the vehicle. Working with the world’s top automotive manufacturers enables Navmii to develop and release new groundbreaking applications that will give drivers complete control of non-intrusive information when they need it most. I am personally delighted to be involved with these projects at a time when the rest of the world seems to be standing still.”
