VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/13 -- Wavefront, Canada's Centre of Excellence for Wireless Commercialization and Research, today announced additions to an already impressive line up of keynote speakers, as well as details of the exclusive Partner Summit that will take place during the second annual Wireless Summits on February 4-6, 2013 in Vancouver.
After a sell out event in 2012, the Partner Summit connects wireless entrepreneurs and small businesses with global industry leaders, providing unique one-on-one networking opportunities. The M2M and Business Summits join the 2013 program to complete this year's three-day Summit series.
Identifying the need for targeted networking to accelerate growth and commercialization within Canada's wireless ecosystem, Wavefront has engineered the Partner Summit to provide small and medium enterprises the opportunity to directly pitch their business to global wireless industry leaders. Connections are carefully matched to mutually appeal to both parties based on their strategy and goals.
Enabling valuable introductions and partnerships that might otherwise be out of reach, the 2012 Partner Summit saw more than 65 connections made, greatly reducing time to revenue and time to market. On average, companies engaged with Wavefront have been able to shorten their overall time to market by four to six months, an impressive reduction for high-tech businesses.
Wavefront has garnered support from high profile global industry leaders who will attend the Summits as keynotes and connections for the Partner Summit. Wavefront announces the addition of Tim Hayden, Senior Vice President, Mobile Strategy for Edelman, along with Carolyn Fitton, Global Product Marketing at SAP and Mateen Greenway, HP Fellow and CTO for EMEA Defense, Security, Government and Healthcare Enterprise Services.
The wireless industry contributes more than $41 billion to Canada's economy and it is forecast that by 2020, there will be more than 50 billion connected devices. This clearly indicates the importance for technology solution providers and enterprise leaders to harness wireless opportunities and stay relevant in a competitive market.
