EnGenius Technologies Announces Largest Product Line and Service Expansion In Its History at 2013 International CES

EnGenius® Technologies, Inc., the leader in long-range Wireless-N networking solutions for homes and businesses, today announced the largest product line and service expansion in the company’s history at the 2013 International CES. EnGenius will showcase its new portfolio of consumer products this week at ShowStoppers @ CES on Jan. 8, 2013, from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Wynn Hotel’s Lafite Ballroom.

The rapid growth in the adoption of Cloud-based services such as multimedia content streaming, data storage, and home automation and surveillance, has fundamentally changed the way consumers and businesses utilize the network. EnGenius’ new portfolio of wireless solutions, Powerline products, switches and Cloud Services are designed specifically for AV enthusiasts and SMB users providing the performance, features and reliability required to optimize the performance of high-bandwidth applications throughout the home or office.

EnGenius Cloud Services for Home and Business

Development is nearing its completion stage on a number of different cloud-based networking management and monitoring services. EnGenius Cloud Services will be available for business-class networking products and for consumer networking products in Q1 2013. Cloud Services for Business will offer remote management and monitoring for deployed Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Access Points but also for a new line of managed switch products. Cloud Services for Home will feature several monitoring features and also provide consumers the ability to remotely access media files for their mobile device or laptop computer from hard drives attached to their Wireless AC Home Entertainment Cloud Pods (see below) via their Internet connection. Access to EnGenius Cloud Services for both Consumers and SMB network administrators, System Integrators, and VARs will be available via a desktop portal as well as apps for both tablets and smartphones.

Wireless AC Home Entertainment Cloud Pods

In Q1 2013 EnGenius will be unveiling its new line of Wireless AC Home Entertainment Cloud Pods. Each Pod is a convergence of technologies with the HD video enthusiast and media-active households in mind – Wireless AC (802.11ac) Router + Built-In Gigabit Switch + USB + Media Streaming Platform and with management and monitoring via EnGenius Cloud Services. Unlike standard 4-port routers, EnGenius has engineered all of this state-of-the-art technology into a very compact form factor designed to be placed unobtrusively and elegantly on top of any stack of home entertainment products.

Wireless AC Media Pod

A companion Wireless AC Media Pod with 4 Gigabit LAN ports will be available around this same time enabling families with another media room in their home to connect Blu-ray® players, DVRs, set top boxes, HDTVs and game consoles to connect to their EnGenius Wireless AC Home Entertainment Pod (or other branded AC router) at wireless speeds that can exceed wired Gigabit!

New Xtra™ Range Home Pods

In Q1 2013 EnGenius will be releasing a new line of Work & Play Wireless N Home Pod Routers. Each pod shares the award-winning design style of EnGenius business-class Indoor Access Points and marks a substantial improvement in speed and performance for those who need a reliable router for their home office, as well as for the media streaming needs of their families.

Wireless AC USB Adapters

In Q2 2013 EnGenius will be launching two new selectable Dual Band AC USB Adapters in attractive new designs. Throughput rated speeds of up to 433 Mbps or 866 Mbps on the 5 GHz band will be available on these models. The adapters will be targeting customers who wish to take advantage of AC router speeds and stream media content at the optimal speeds without buffering.

Powerline Adapters and Media Bridge Kits

For audio-visual enthusiasts and for those who have homes that have challenging architectural elements or layouts that inhibit wireless signals disrupting video streams over a network, EnGenius is introducing a line of Powerline Adapter Kits with and without built-in Wireless N and 5-port Powerline Media Bridges also with built-in Wireless-N. Each kit includes Powerline components that are rated at up to 500 Mbps via a home’s existing electrical circuitry and provide a quick and effortless way to extend a home network and connect a wide variety of devices – smartphones, home entertainment components, and game consoles to the consumer’s Internet connection. EnGenius Powerline offerings will be available in Q1 2013.

IP Surveillance Cameras for Consumer and Business

EnGenius will also be announcing a line of IP Surveillance Cameras available in the Q2 2013 timeframe for both the consumer and SMB markets. Cameras will be supported by a surveillance software application and can be monitored remotely via the Internet.

Unmanaged and Managed Switches

Beginning in Q1 2013, EnGenius will also be launching an expanding line of unmanaged switches for the consumer market, as well as, managed PoE switches for the SMB market. Details on specific models with features and specifications will be available later in the Q1 timeframe.
