Airbiquity, a global leader in wireless connected vehicle services, announced today the hiring of Yusuf Nahmiyas as the company’s Executive Vice President of Corporate Development. As a key member of Airbiquity’s executive management team, Mr. Nahmiyas will be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, leading the evaluation of such opportunities, and assisting the strategic growth of the company’s business.
Mr. Nahmiyas has an extensive background in the identification, pursuit, and execution of strategic initiatives for emerging high-growth companies as well as mature large enterprises. He comes to Airbiquity following a 17-year investment banking career specializing in the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) verticals. He has led an extensive array of merger, acquisition, divestiture, joint venture, minority investment, recapitalization, and sale transactions as well as conducting strategic reviews for TMT companies.
“Airbiquity is extremely pleased to welcome Yusuf Nahmiyas to our company,” said Kamyar Moinzadeh, president and CEO, Airbiquity. “The machine-to-machine market is evolving rapidly, as is our core connected vehicle market. The ecosystems that create connected services are becoming more complex as well, now including software companies, systems integrators, mobile network operators, and other established companies. Airbiquity intends to continue to play a central role in the machine-to-machine market, and Yusuf’s experience in identifying new business opportunities, as well as strategic partnerships, is well-suited for these dynamic market conditions.”
Yusuf holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and MBA from Harvard Business School. He begins his appointment with Airbiquity immediately.
