SMS Audio, LLC (www.SMSAUDIO.com), a premier audio headphone and accessories brand from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, today announced a partnership with mega-producer Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley. Timbaland joins SMS Audio as an investment partner and member of the company’s board of directors, with substantial involvement in the design and audio engineering process for new SMS Audio products.
“50 Cent has created an aspirational audio brand that produces the highest caliber of headphones on the market,” said Timbaland. “I’m looking forward to working with 50 and being part of a company so eager to bring studio-quality sound to music fans all over the world.”
Influencing the popular music scene since the mid-1990s, Timbaland helped create career-defining hits for artists like Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Ludacris, Missy Elliot and Justin Timberlake – with whom he helped produce the majority of tracks from the multi-platinum-selling records Justified and Future Sex/Love Sounds. In addition to his career as producer, Timbaland is CEO of his own label, Mosley Music Group, which produced the number-one hit “Promiscuous” by Nelly Furtado.
“As an entrepreneur in the music industry, I have great respect for Timbaland and his evolving role as a producer, artist and influencer,” said 50 Cent, CEO of SMS Audio. “I welcome his expertise and guidance.
