Gemalto, Yokosuka Telecom Research Park, Fujitsu Ten et Ertico inaugurent le premier centre d'essai eCall au Japon

Gemalto (Euronext NL 0000400653 GTO), le leader mondial de la sécurité numérique, a annoncé aujourd'hui sa collaboration avec Yokosuka Telecom Research Park, Inc. (YRP), FUJITSU TEN, l’un des principaux développeurs de systèmes de sécurité avancés, et ERTICO, avec l’inauguration du premier centre d'essai eCall au Japon, destiné à aider les constructeurs automobiles du monde entier à se conformer aux nouveaux standards de l'Union européenne (UE) en matière d'appels d'urgence. Les technologies de pointe Cinterion® de Gemalto (modules automobiles Machine-to-Machine (M2M) et modules d'identification de machine (MIM) assureront les communications et la localisation GPS pour tous les scénarios d'essai. Ce tout premier centre d'appels d'urgence établi en dehors de l'Europe permettra aux constructeurs automobiles japonais de tester sur place les solutions destinées au marché européen.

Conçu pour réduire les délais d'intervention des secours, le service eCall '112' est un système M2M interopérable paneuropéen qui permet aux véhicules (et à leurs passagers) d'appeler automatiquement les secours en cas d’accident de la circulation. Le banc d'essai de FUJITSU TEN et d'YRP comprend des systèmes embarqués basés sur la technologie eCall de Gemalto, qui a déjà fait ses preuves en Europe et qui est conforme aux scénarios d'essai européens. Lorsque les airbags ou d’autres capteurs embarqués sont déclenchés, un module MIM automobile Gemalto établit instantanément une connexion réseau sécurisée et un module M2M automobile Cinterion émet un appel vocal '112' normalisé vers le service d'urgence le plus proche. Le système transmet automatiquement les données essentielles relatives à la situation, notamment le lieu exact de l’incident, l'heure et le numéro d'identification du véhicule (NIV), aux opérateurs qui mobilisent les services appropriées en temps réel. La solution peut être activée manuellement par les occupants du véhicule en cas de besoin. En simulant les réseaux sans fil européens, ce centre d'essai, le seul réseau cellulaire 2G exclusif du Japon, facilitera grandement les tests.
