ZBD, the leading provider of fully graphic epaper display systems for retailers and industrial users globally, has announced that Orange Slovakia has installed its system across 19 stores in Slovakia. ZBD’s displays have been integrated seamlessly into its new store fittings by Orange’s store equipment partner ProCam from Hungary, working with ZBD partner Laurel KFT.
ZBD’s large format epaper displays have been implemented as part of Orange Slovakia’s store upgrade programme. They will be used to display calling plans and pricing, which can be updated centrally – avoiding the need to constantly change paper labels.
Orange Slovakia is a member of the global France Telecom Group, one of the largest telecoms operators and broadband internet providers worldwide. Orange Slovakia is the leader in the Slovak telecommunications market and the largest vendor in terms of customers and revenue. It currently has 2.8 million active customers and its countrywide network covers 99% of the population of Slovakia.
Peter Dobos, Retail Sales & Sales Support Manager at Orange Slovakia, explains: "We needed to install an epaper solution as part of our nationwide store renewal programme, and we preferred the design quality of the ZBD platform, as well as its ease of implementation into the stores. Our original driver for investing in epaper was the ability to update prices centrally and display detailed calling plans in-store but we also expect to achieve long-term cost savings in relation to labour and paper.”
Franz Josef Buschmeier, Head of ZBD CEE said: “As the major operator and internet provider in the region, Orange Slovakia is taking a lead on updating its stores to ensure it can offer the best possible customer service. By investing in ZBD’s epaper system, Orange can free up staff to look after customers in store.”
Orange will continue to roll out ZBD’s epaper system across its stores in Slovakia during 2013.
