London, UK - 4th December 2012 - MYCOM, the leading independent provider of carrier-grade Network and Services Performance solutions, today announced that its NIMS-PrOptima™ Network Performance Management and Service Assurance platform has been selected by the E-Plus Group to manage the end-to-end performance of its entire network.
MYCOM's NIMS-PrOptima is being deployed to provide end-to-end network performance management for multiple technologies and equipment vendors across its radio access, core, transmission and VAS network domains. It replaces multiple in-house and third party systems with a single converged system.
With 24 million subscribers, the E-Plus Group is the third largest mobile telecommunications operator in Germany. E-Plus required a network performance management solution that was a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product, had industry leading functionality, and was successfully proven within Tier 1 telecom operators. After a detailed competitive evaluation that included a comprehensive trial and reference calls with MYCOM's Tier 1 customers, NIMS-PrOptima was selected for E-Plus's end-to-end network performance management solution.
"MYCOM provided us what we were looking for," said Gerhard Lüdtke, Director Access Network, E-Plus, "which was a commercial-off-the-shelf system that incorporated industry best practice functionality and out-of-the box support for multiple technologies."
MYCOM's NIMS-PrOptima is a converged (Fixed/IP/Mobile) Service Assurance platform that scales to reduce operational costs with out-of-the-box support for multiple technologies, domains and equipment vendors across access, backhaul, core and service networks. It processes large volumes of performance, configuration and services data in near real-time, has advanced correlation, analysis, reporting and visualization modules, and is highly flexible via automation, workflow and configuration capabilities.
"This latest customer win proves that MYCOM combines the technology platform and Tier 1 telecom operator references to deliver a carrier-grade network performance management solution against demanding operator requirements," commented Payam Taaghol, VP Sales, Software Products and Platforms, MYCOM. "In addition, the delivery of NIMS-PrOptima via a Managed Services partner within stringent SLA requirements demonstrates the strengths of the platform as a key enabler for Managed Services. We warmly welcome E-Plus Group to our premier and growing user community."
