Singapore, Singapore, November 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Signetique, a leading Singapore-based cloud hosting company announces today that it is IPv6-ready. Support for the new IPv6 protocol will coexist with the present IPv4 protocol for as long as it is required.
“Signetique wants to ensure that our customers are able to leverage on the IPv6 protocol as the world runs out of IPv4 addresses,” said Signetique Chief Executive Officer Raymond Tan. “It is important that we are able to help our customers adopt the new standards now so that they are ready and stay ahead of the curve when IPv6 eventually replaces IPv4.”
As the Asia Pacific and European regions have exhausted their IPv4 address space, new servers and network switches must be assigned an IPv6 address. IPv6 allows for a virtually unlimited number of addresses, which allows greater flexibility in IP address allocation and improves routing and network configurations.
“Deploying IPv6 ensures business continuity for our customers who can make the transition now and have the assurance that their business will continue to grow in tandem with technological advancements,” said Kenneth Tan, Signetique Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited to introduce our IPv6 readiness as it signifies greater things to come and we will be announcing them as they are ready later this year. In the mean time, our dedicated hosting customers will be able to leverage on this new platform immediately with every new server deployed.”
Signetique provides shared, virtual and dedicated hosting services and maintains facilities in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Taiwan, China and Japan. Customers requiring a one-stop Asia Pacific hosting solution can do so through their Singapore sales office.
