DUBLIN, IRELAND -- (Marketwire) -- 11/20/12 -- On the 6th of November MM Technology Ltd t/a Live Mobile signed a multi-million euro deal with China Telecom through a local partner. At the signing ceremony members of China Telecom, the company's Chinese partner and the local Chinese government were in attendance.
The deal will see Live Mobile's consumer and enterprise products customized for China and marketed and distributed by the telecommunications giant. The first product to be launched will be a Chinese version of the company's child safety product, MobileMinder. A representative office based in China is also being established.
China Telecom is one of the world's largest mobile operators with a subscriber base of over 155 million; last year growing in over 4 million subscribers per month. There are approximately 160 million children between the ages of 5 and 15 in China, which highlights the massive potential the customized version of MobileMinder has.
"China is the fastest growing smartphone market in the world, with an estimated 500m devices to be active by the end of 2013," says Don Corbett CEO of Live Mobile. "We develop cutting edge cloud services for mobile and this deal will see those services available in China for Enterprise and consumer markets." Corbett goes on to express his excitement and enthusiasm at growing the Live Mobile brand off the back off such a colossal deal; "Our progress in China is very gratifying and shows the huge progress our team has made since our inception. It is very important that we keep pushing forward and continue to achieve our goals."
The deal will see the company create approximately 70 jobs divided between Ireland and China over the next two years with the hope of more to come.
Live Mobile is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland with representative offices in New York, USA. The company develops cloud services for Mobile for the both the enterprise and consumer market.
