The Rubicon Project’s Ingrid Lestiyo has been named the winner of a prestigious Silver Stevie Award. Lestiyo was recognized in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category in the 9th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
Lestiyo’s enterprising work built an innovative mobile ad technology company called Mobsmith, which the Rubicon Project acquired in 2012. Her entrepreneurialism clearly impressed judges. Lestiyo won in the Female Entrepreneur, Business Products category for 10 employees or less.
“I’m honored to be recognized by the Stevies,” said Lestiyo. “We are taking the mobile technology we built at Mobsmith and integrating it into Rubicon’s great ad platform. We can better provide comScore 500 publishers ways to sell their mobile and in-app ad inventory.”
“The whole Rubicon team congratulates Ingrid on this well-deserved recognition,” said Frank Addante, CEO of the Rubicon Project. “We are thrilled to have her strengths and skills in our mobile division. Her assets are sure to benefit our customers and partners.”
The Rubicon Project acquired Mobsmith in May 2012 to increase its offerings in the mobile advertising market. Lestiyo, cofounder and CEO of startup Mobsmith, bet her career that mobile would account for an increasingly large part of the $50-billion-dollar digital advertising market. She applied her vision and passion to leading her small company to dominate a nascent and emerging market. She now serves as VP of mobile at Rubicon Project.
The Stevies honor female entrepreneurs, executives, and their organizations. The 2012 awards received entries from 17 nations and territories. More than 1,200 were submitted this year for consideration.
