BOULDER, Colo., Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Xetawave, a Colorado-based wireless technology provider, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to supply approximately 1,600 radios for use in a high speed wireless Ethernet network for a mission critical application. In tests conducted at the customer site, Xetawave's radios outperformed all other vendors in both speed and range. Initial deliveries of radios will begin by mid-November and the network will be completed in Q3 2014. The radios, using Xetawave's patent pending Dual Decode Digital technology, achieved a multi-megabit link at up to 50 miles during field tests while overcoming a high level of spectrum congestion and interference. The radios will be manufactured in Boulder, Colorado.

Jonathan Sawyer, Xetawave's CEO and co-founder said, "It is thrilling to see how our technology performed so well in a real world congested environment. We were able to establish robust data communication at 50 miles on an obstructed non-line of sight radio path. Every other vendor's radios could not even establish a link."
Co-founder and chief operating officer Robert Campbell commented, "This milestone in Xetawave's growth is confirmation of the expertise, commitment and maturity of our team and the exceptional performance of our technology. Just as disk drives integrated technologies from other fields in the 1990s, Xetawave is using advances in signal processing and system design to create a radio with performance never believed possible."
