Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) congratulates The Ottawa Hospital (TOH), on receiving the 2012 “Mobilizer Award” from Mobile Enterprise Magazine for enterprise-wide mobility deployment. Ottawa’s award-winning deployment utilizes an Aruba Networks wireless LAN.
The “Mobilizer Awards” honor public and private enterprises across all industries that have transformed their businesses by deploying wireless mobile solutions. Now in its 11th year, the awards recognize the most effective and innovative mobile technology deployments of the year in Field Service, Mobile Device Management solutions, Enterprise-Wide Mobility Deployment and Mobilizing Business Applications.
In an awards ceremony held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Mobile Enterprise Executive Summit in Sarasota, Florida, The Ottawa Hospital (TOH), received its award in the category of Enterprise-Wide Mobility Deployment. TOH was selected for its imperative and aggressive mobility plan, the goal of which was to become a top 10% performer in quality and safety of patient care in North America and for its vision of providing each patient with world-class, compassionate care. Three thousand mobile devices were issued to physicians, clinicians and pharmacists, and a mission-critical wireless network was deployed to support real-time access to medical records and electronic order entry systems at the patients’ bedside. TOH is the only hospital in the world to implement such an ambitious mobility strategy, which has resulted in a new standard for patient care. TOH’s award-winning deployment utilizes an 802.11n wireless LAN based on the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture. Additional information about The Ottawa Hospital’s innovative wireless network is available here.
