MicroCorp, Inc., a recognized leader in the telecommunications Master Agency space, today announced an agreement with TDMobility to add its carrier services platform to TDMobility’s offering in the United States. Through the agreement, TDMobility will offer MicroCorp’s complete portfolio of carrier and managed services from many of the nation’s top telecommunication companies.
TDMobility, a joint venture between Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD) and Brightstar, provides turnkey wireless solutions designed for the business customer to Tech Data’s channel of over 60,000 resellers in the United States. TDMobility features two flagship offerings, CellManageTM and TDActivateTM, designed to streamline end-users’ wireless infrastructure and save reseller customers both time and money.
“TDMobility has dramatically simplified the VAR’s entry into the mobile market by providing the industry's first end-to-end platform encompassing mobile hardware, software, service plans, activation and billing,” said Joe Quaglia, senior vice president, U.S. Marketing and president, TDMobility at Tech Data. “Today, through our relationship with MicroCorp, TDMobility has expanded its offering to deliver a very similar platform in the wire line carrier services space.”
The agreement between TDMobility and MicroCorp will provide resellers with the ability to offer a comprehensive portfolio of voice, data and cloud solutions through MicroCorp’s long-standing contractual relationships with over 50 carrier and cloud service providers. In addition, MicroCorp will manage all pre and post-sales functions, while VARs will have complete collaborative access to all activity through Nautilus, MicroCorp’s cloud-based carrier services management system.
“TDMobility enables VARs by providing a robust platform for the sale and support of carrier solutions delivered by the nation’s top telecommunication companies, while MicroCorp provides the layer of support and systems necessary to make a carrier services program a success,” said Brad Miehl, president and CEO of MicroCorp., Inc. “The end result is a synergistic offering between equipment and carrier services that is wrapped in a managed platform, delivering the bundled solutions that business customers are now demanding.”
MicroCorp and Tech Data are currently completing systems integration requirements, with the first stage of a three-stage launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2013.
