CHICAGO, Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: OWW) today announced the appointment of Mitch Marcus as the company's chief financial officer (CFO), effective Nov. 12, 2012.

Mitch will have global responsibility for accounting, financial planning & analysis, investor relations, tax, internal audit and treasury. He will be based at the Orbitz Worldwide headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. David Belmont, who has served as interim CFO since June 2012, will return to his position as group vice president, financial planning and analysis.

Mitch most recently served as Senior Vice President Treasurer and Senior Vice President Corporate Development at Sara Lee. Prior to Sara Lee, Mitch had a successful investment banking career spending time at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and William Blair. He started his career as a staff accountant at Arthur Andersen, and after obtaining a law degree, was a corporate attorney at Dewey Ballantine. He received his MBA from University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, his JD from George Washington University, and his BA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
