Firefox for Tablets updated, Flipboard hits 3B flips and more

  • Firefox for Tablets updated with speed and power - one of the top mobile browsers is Firefox. Their latest update mirrors the most recent smartphone update. Unlike many mobile browsers, Firefox supports Flash. Via Phandroid, more here.
  • Microsoft has made their SkyDrive application available on Android – SkyDrive is Microsoft’s attempt to combat Google Drive and DropBox. SkyDrive is cloud-based storage for all platforms. Via Droid-Life, more here.

  • IBM’s new mainframe aimed at taking over “private clouds” – IBM is hoping to move cloud users over to their big old mainframes. The zEC12 uses CMOS processors and updated “hybrid” computing capabilities. It is an attempt to be high-performance and high-security. Via Ars Technica, more here.
