Mformation® Technologies Inc., leading provider of advanced mobile device management (MDM) solutions, and Elitecore Technologies Ltd, leading provider of telecom software (OSS/BSS solutions), today announced the successful completion of interoperability testing (IOT) of Elitecore’s EliteAAA with Mformation’s OMA DM-based advanced device management server. Testing of Mformation’s device management server and Elitecore products was based on the WiMAX Forum’s NWG (Network Working Group) specification.
“Mobile device management and AAA platforms are critical enablers of a seamless subscriber experience in an increasingly complex mobile environment,” commented Rakesh Kushwaha CTO and Co-Founder, Mformation Technologies. “The combination of Mformation’s market-leading device management capabilities with Elitecore’s AAA solution is critical to successfully activating, provisioning and managing the wide array of devices that will be connected to WiMAX networks.”
“With a growing number of devices requiring authentication in the mobile WiMAX ecosystem, the Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) function plays a central role in the WiMAX network for device authentication & subscriber management,” said Dhaval Vora, AVP Telecom Solutions Group, Elitecore Technologies. “Ensuring interoperability between our AAA solution and Mformation’s advanced device management platform is an important step toward delivering greater flexibility to WiMAX operators in an open WiMAX ecosystem.”
Interoperability testing between EliteAAA and Mformation’s device management server included the successful execution of a wide range of test cases, including online/offline device activation, multiple devices under one subscription, change of subscription information, replacement of device, addition to blacklist, batch provisioning via UI and firmware update. Testing was successfully performed using new users and devices as well as existing users.
Mformation’s OMA DM-based advanced device management server enables mobile operators and service providers to remotely activate, configure, diagnose, update, secure and manage WiMAX-capable devices through all phases of their lifecycle, ensuring a seamless service experience for WiMAX customers.
The EliteAAA WiMAX solution is compliant with the WiMAX Forum Network Working Group standard and provides extensive mobile WiMAX support such as device authentication and mobile IP. It features support for RADIUS and Diameter, as well as broad set of authentication protocols. EliteAAA supports the intelligence and performance to manage mobility and roaming in WiMAX networks. EliteAAA enhances service provider’s competitive strength, sitting at the core of service enablement.
