Kabira(R) Addresses Communications Market Need for Orchestration

Strategy Positions Company to Become Catalyst for Growth

SAN MATEO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/19/10 -- Kabira Technologies, Inc., a leading telecommunications software provider, today unveiled a realignment of its product portfolio structure along with a new, focused strategy to become the industry's leading provider of Orchestration software. Kabira's product suites will be offered under the name, ORCHESTRATION by KABIRA(TM) and represents a planned approach of building products specifically designed to simultaneously reduce both 'Cost of Growth' (COG) and 'Time to Revenue' (T2R). Within this new product portfolio are three product suites that represent current areas of concentration for Kabira. These are:

-- Policy Orchestration by Kabira(TM), which includes Kabira's
    policy management products.
-- Fulfillment Orchestration by Kabira(TM) comprised of Kabira's
provisioning & activation, order management, resource management
    and mediation products.
-- Payments Orchestration by Kabira(TM), which contains Kabira's
    mobile money and payments products.

Each of Kabira's orchestration product suites is comprised of a set of products or 'Elements' which are built on Kabira's Fluency(TM) core transaction processing technology. With Fluency at the Core(TM) of all of Kabira's products and solutions, customers receive the unparalleled, field-proven performance, scalability, reliability and high-availability that Kabira is known for, regardless of their application needs.

Describing the impact of telecom software orchestration, Manish Gupta, vice president of global marketing for Kabira, explains, "Kabira has historically excelled at designing and providing innovative solutions that deliver high-speed, superior reliability, and guaranteed transactions as we have supported mission-critical processes for some of the largest communications service providers in the world. Today, the industry can benefit tremendously from harmonization of disparate elements in the IT and networking infrastructures. Service providers are looking for ways to monetize the explosive growth in data services without getting crushed by the load of the required infrastructure investment." Gupta added, "With Orchestration by Kabira, the service providers can achieve dual goals of minimizing and controlling Cost of Growth, while at the same time shrinking Time to Revenue. By helping operators with these objectives, we become a catalyst for our customers' efforts to accelerate their Pace of Return."

"Operators have begun to recognize the value of next generation OSS and policy capabilities in deploying innovative services and reducing operational costs, and are investing accordingly. However, the success of these initiatives depends on their ability to orchestrate and streamline their systems to ensure end-to-end, seamless service delivery and a consistently positive customer experience," said Shira Levine, Directing Analyst, Next Gen OSS and Policy at Infonetics Research.

Following these strategies allows Kabira to help service providers extract greater value and yield from subscriber and network assets. Kabira is positioned to act as a committed partner and catalyst for growth for its customers. It is becoming an essential element for powering profitability and growth for communications service providers.
