Recent Hiring at Nevion Demonstrates the Company’s Growth and Global Expansion

For Nevion, (www.nevion.com), a leading video transport solution provider for broadcasters, telecommunications service providers and government entities worldwide, it has not only been a time of prodigious product development but also an active hiring period. Along with the executive placements of Nils Fredriksen, CFO, Dr. Chin Koh, director of product management for Ventura, and sales executive Xavier Gentric previously announced, Suresh Akkappilly and George Woodford have joined Nevion in senior sales roles.

Suresh Akkappilly joins Nevion as sales manager for the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent. He has overall responsibility for maintaining, developing and managing the current sales channel as well as identifying and developing new accounts in the territories. With more than six years’ industry expertise, Suresh brings specialized experience in IP networking and has previously worked for Tektronix and Consultronics, and as a team leader on deputation with Huawei for Batelco MSAN project implementation and migration.

George Woodford comes to Nevion as Sales Manager for the U.S. Northeast region where he will develop and manage customer relationships in this active territory, particularly with U.S.-based carriers. George has more than 13 years of experience in the telecom industry and a distinctive sales record with leading national networks. Prior to joining Nevion George was a top producer at Turin Networks and ADC Telecommunications. He also served as regional vice president of sales for White Rock Networks. George brings seasoned experience selling IP, SONET and WDM transport solutions to carriers throughout the Northeastern U.S.
