WebMail Pro v4.6 Is Out

Why are we so confident about the first point? Because IMAP support in WebMail Pro now includes quotas for automatic mailbox size management, direct search on IMAP server, and new easy-to-use approach to deleting e-mails.

And what's so special in cPanel support? Because it's now really easy for the server admin to add WebMail Pro into the list of applications available for installation by domain admins. And, for the domain admin, it's just a matter of typing URL and license key for the application in order to have it installed for the particular domain.

HTC has showed off its third Android phone, a little anti-fingerprint touch screen gismo called Hero that will surely be a hero to Adobe since it’s the first Android phone to support Adobe Flash. Flash Lite 3.1 to be precise, which should give users a more complete web browsing experience, the ability to interact, and access to Flash-based web content.

Forget Cloud Computing, Let's Talk About Ed Zander

Yet I spent too many years writing, publishing, and producing for Sun to let this deal go uncommented upon.
Intel & Nokia To Engineer Wholly New Mobile Gismos

Intel, the world's largest chipmaker, and Nokia, the world's largest cell phone maker, have banded together to engineer a new class of x86 mobile device - widgets beyond smartphones, notebooks and netbooks - that apparently shrinks the power of a desktop into something that fits in your pocket.

Details are scarce. The pair won't discuss either specific products or timing only that the widgets be Linux-based with high-bandwidth mobile broadband communications and ubiquitous Internet connectivity.

Leading Femtocell Vendors Come Together to Advance Common Approach to Femtozone Applications. Femtocells sit at the intersection of multiple networks including mobile, Internet, home and office - all of which are fundamental to people’s lives. The intelligence within the femtocell, for example presence and digital content visibility, can be used by application logic residing in any of these networks. The SIG’s work will help the industry establish a framework that encompasses all of these options and establish a common approach.

Java ME Embedded Database Helps Mobile Workers Connect via Smartphone

In a major upgrade to its software as a service (SaaS) that connects companies with their field workforces, Argentina’s Movimiento ATM has integrated the Perst™ Lite all-Java embedded database from McObject® in client software for roaming employees’ BlackBerry, Nokia and other popular smartphones. The integration keeps users more up-to-date through faster data access, and also enhances client software reliability. Perst Lite also slashed the development time of Movimiento’s new Salesforce Solution product by replacing “homegrown” data management code with a proven commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) embedded database system, Movimiento's general manager said.

IBM said Wednesday that it’s going to pour $100 million into cell phone research over the next five years. It’s thinking of services for the so-called “Next Billion,” largely the folks who have bypassed the PC for mobile devices to connect to the Internet. The money is earmarked for what it calls mobile enterprise enablement, emerging market mobility, and enterprise end-user mobile experiences. It’s thinking security, analytics, privacy and the user interface.

Advantages are many but, most of all, the ability to understand independently and while on-the-go is the key to describing the benefits of our products.
Ted Weissman and Lois Paul & Partners PR Firm

I just read SYS-CON's response to the recent attacks in Fuat Kircaali's Social Media Terrorists blog entry. I realized the email quoted at the end of Kircaali's blog was also copied to Ted Weissman of Lois Paul & Partners, a public relations firm with clients in technology.

If this email was sent to SYS-CON based on Weissman's advice to his client, then, in my humble opinion, Ted Weissman and his firm are not qualified to operate as a PR agency to serve technology markets and provide advice to any technology client until they sort out their facts from the Twitter mob fiction.

After reading Kircaali's response, it sounds like this pr man is getting his news from Twitter feeds of Al Jazeera instead of reading the facts in a magazine such as Forbes before advising his clients about the "documented questionable business practices" of one of the most respected tech media companies in the world.

My question is "Is this man in the business of providing public relations or creating public relations disasters for his clients?"

Good news indeed!
