Cloud Computing - E7 Is Born

Microsoft Has Set Up A Blog Hosted By Jon DeVaan and Steven Sinofsky To Discuss the Project and Obtensibly Get Feedback

At least 16 or 17 months ahead of the appearance of Windows 7, the next generation of the operating system, Microsoft has set up a blog hosted by senior engineering managers Jon DeVaan and Steven Sinofsky to discuss the project and ostensibly get feedback.

Only one posting into it, they haven’t said anything yet except that the first “in-depth technical information” about the thing awaits Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference on October 27 and WinHEC the week after.

Meanwhile, the blog, nicknamed E7, short for Engineering Windows 7, is supposed to provide “context” and behind-the-scenes titillation without raising expectations unduly as to what the software will be capable of.

It’s at http://blogs.msdn.com/e7/.
